Switch OS ?
We'd like to move our current 4.0 RTC installation from WIN to AIX.
I can't find any documentation, so I'm guessing here: export databases from WIN server....install RTC on AIX....import databases on AIX server. Or ? Thanks in advance. |

Hi Kenneth,
the situation in this case is very similar to creating a backup https://jazz.net/library/article/795 installing on a new system, and restoring backup data. It depends on the DBMS if you can restore the database on the new architecture, or have to use repotools export/import to get the data into it. The latter case is described in the migrating the database described here http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0m1/nav/6_3. You should check the DBMS documentation for your database.
