Links in BPD are getting lost after REQ If

I tried to link an artifact to a BPD and that worked fine for me. When I hover over the BPD it does show me the link however when I req if this artifact with the link the links are carried to the target environment but they are not attached to the boxes any more. Is this an issue with the application or Req If and is there any work around for the same?
