Would like to know is there any way of generating Artifact IDs automatically in RRC ?  Artifact ID can be one of the attribute and whenever artifact is saved, artifact ID should be auto generated.  Is it possible with some external scripts in RRC ?

Hi,
RRC artifacts are automatically assigned IDs.  I'm attaching a screenshot of some artifacts in RRC where you can see their IDs.

I have been following along as I am interested in this area too.

I think the problem with these automatic IDs may be that they are unique to the whole database. After a few projects we could find ourselves reviewing requirement '183453' on a small project.

We currently use DOORS, where automatic IDs start at 1 for each new 'module'. I was hoping to find somethign like that in Jazz RM.

I don't know of a way to make the IDs unique to only a certain group or module.

Hi Lauren,

Yes looking for some unique id generation specific to some module and not with respect to whole database.  Can this be attribute and generated through some APIs ?
