RTC extract latest discussion into a simple query / report

Hello,

I am using RTC 3 for a long time.
I would like to extract the latest discussion information into a simple query or if it can not be done, to extract it to a report.
I do not want to use BIRT / RPE / RRDI at this stage.

how can I achieve it?

This is possible using Java API - I dont think its possible using a simple query.
