Maximum number of characters in the description of a community

Hello,

When we create a new community, do we have an upper limit on the number of characters that can be entered in the description of a community?

Please let us know!

Thanks!

Regards,

Sripriya

1000 UTF-8 characters. This means if straight English then it is 1000 characters. The size reduces as the number of multi-byte UTF-8 characters are used.

This is for the description. The widgets on the Community's home page don't have this restriction.

If the description is very long, consider storing it in the asset's content (as .html), and point to it, or iframe it.
