Rich edit controls are not recognized using Robot

Hi

We have some queries related to the Robot tool, we would like to know if these issues can be resolved in any of the current methods in the tool or any round-about method to achieve it.
We are using MFC (VC++) in VS2010.

1)   Rich edit controls are not recognized using this tool.

2)  Custom controls used in multiple places( they are commoN) have same ID, initial time the ID is recognised by the tool,  but when we visit other views with same control, it shows Object index instead of ID.

Hence we are not able to distinguish the common custom controls used at multiple places.

Any inputs please ?

 Rajesh,
I would suggest to post this question on the IBM developerworks forum for Functional testing.
The developerworks forum covers both Rational Robot and Rational Functional Tester questions
