RTC scm feature for aix

Natsumi Yokoyama (209387101) | asked Nov 20 '12, 4:07 a.m.
Hi

What kind of options are recommended to implement source control using RTC, when develop shell script on AIX server?

My customer needs to implement software configuration management on AIX, when they develop shell scripts on their test environment. In that case, what kinds of options are available in terms of Rational tool configuration?

From what I understand, there are two options. 1st option is to use RTC with RDp. Second option is to use scm command tools included in RTC Build System Tool for AIX. In case of C/C++ development, RTC w/ RDp is really useful. On the other hand, in case of "simple" shell script development, scm command tools is enough.

Thank you !

Natsumi

I am not familiar with the RDp product but the RTC SCM CLI is supported on this platform and could be used to manage source code (or script) development.

This article can help get you started with the CLI:

These articles provide details on how to integrate CLI into development workflows on Mac but much of it can be applied to other platforms:
