Same testcasenames for different testcases are not avoided respectively are not forbidden by RQM

Frank Bolte (1122) | asked Nov 13 '12, 10:06 a.m.

RQM does not avoid and does not prohibit same testcasenames for different testcases during the creation of new testcases. The automatically generated Ids belonging to these testcases are different, but the names can be equal.

In many projects the testcases must be referenced by biunique testcasenames.

Mistakes concerning this rule are not detected by RQM.

Is it possible to choose  special properties for configuring this feature ?

RQM does not currently have functionality to prohibit testcases from having the same name.  It uses the numeric ID as the unique identifier.  If forcing testcases to have unique names is functionality that you desire I would encourage you to submit an RFE for this.

What is the meaning of the abbreviation "RFE" ?

How does a "RFE" works ?

Is this a "Change Request" or a "Defect" ? (see CHAMP terminology)

Where i can assign a "Change Request" ?

RFE = Request for Enhancement
If you have a support id you can create on in the support portal, or you can just create on directly on jazz.net via the following link:
