Cannot link clearcase activity to work item with UCM

RTC 3.0.1

CCRC Extension 4.1.2.0

I pulled up the outstanding clearcase activities, then attempted to associate to a work item and it said "the chosen operation is not enabled".  When I searched through other posts, I had seen one that said that with Clearcase UCM, it can only link at creation of the CC activity, but I can't do that because of the CC/CQ server I'm connecting too has a lot of custom scripts that are keeping me from creating one from within CCRC.

I was wondering if this limitation has been or will be fixed in upcoming versions.
