Developing RTC plugins for Websphere
I have not had a chance to use Websphere before, and I am wondering if the process to provision a plugin in Websphere is the same as the one followed for Tomcat?
1. Copy features and plugins and site.xml into the sites folder
2. Copy .ini file into provisioning profiles folder
3. Restart the server
Is there anything else that needs to be done for Websphere? Any help is very useful, thanks!

Accepted answer
The same mechanism works for Websphere as for Tomcat.
you need to cold restart the server after changing the plugin configuration.. Sam Anita Jey selected this answer as the correct answer

Hi Sam: I invoked the stopServer.sh command, waited for the server to shutdown gracefully, and then called startServer.sh. I suppose that will suffice? No, you need to do this before shutdown to cause the plug config to be reloaded https://serveraddress/ccm/admin/cmd/requestReset note that the plugins get installed in the ccm application directory

Thanks for pointing out the request reset command. I didn't know about that! |
