Could a single LifeCycleProject contain two distinct RTC instances?

If I have two CCM applications in a distributed topology(different servers), could they be hosted on a single JTS server  and even more, gathered in a single Lifecycle Project?
The question is applicable for CLM version 4.

The answer to both question is yes:

There should be no problem registering both CCM applications to a single JTS, in either the /jts/setup wizard or Registered Applications page in /jts/admin.

In the Lifecycle Project Administration application, when you are creating a lifecycle project using a template that calls for a CCM project, you will be able to select one CCM application or the other in a drop-down control.

As for having more than one CCM project, (from either or both of the CCM applications), in a lifecycle project, you could do so by using the actions to add existing projects (aka "artifact containers") to a lifeycle project. This will not establish any Project Associations between the project areas, but you would be able to use the Members page in LPA to manage the members of both projects in one place. None of the pre-defined lifecycle project templates include more than one CCM artifact container, but you do have the ability to create and import your own lifecycle project template that would, if desired.

Thank you for your answer. You say that none of the pre-defined project templates include more than one CCM artifact container.  That is corect,  in a normal LFP template you would have three artifact containers for each of these applications: CCM, QM and RM. You would also benefit of some features/capabilities, like Project Association, traceability, etc. If you manage to create a custom LFP Template that calls for two CCM projects, would you still benefit from those capabilities "out-of-the-box"?  For example, having a template that supports 4 artifact containers, one for each of these applications: CCM1, CCM2, QM and RM. Would you still have the LFP capabilities and Project Associations between all four applications?

The Project Associations are specified explicitly in the lifecycle project template. To see this, use the action to download a template from the Templates page in the LPA application and look for text "projectAreaAssociations". When you defined that monster CCM1, CCM2, QM, and RM template, (probably by modifying one of the built-in templates, changing its title and identifier, and importing it), you would be specifying which associations to create. When a lifecycle project is created from a template, nothing happens that couldn't be done by creating a project area in each application and adding Project Associations in the section Associations in the application's project area editor. The LPA tool and lifecycle project templates are a convenience that are especially useful when a set of projects with given associations are to be created more than once.

The thing is that CCM are already and have been registered to JTS, but different JTS and it's my understanding that once an application's lot is cast with JTS that's it,end of story with respect to the application/jts relationship.

I can confirm that the Lifecycle Project Administration application will only allow you to select applications that are registered to the same JTS as LPA is registered to. I can't personally comment on the support or ability to register a CCM with a different JTS than it was originally registered to. Data migration may be a viable option, with supervision of IBM Support.
