The 1.0.0.1 update contains a change for a single issue described in

It is a change effecting only the files that tell the installation
manager how to install the offerings. The purpose is to enable
'non-administrator' installation of the offerings on linux when using
the recently released 1.2 version of the installation manager. There is
no need to apply this update unless you are running into this issue as
it will not effect any of the bits that make up the offerings themselves.
