How to auto populate a user based on value selected in File Against

We have more than 500+ users in RTC 3.0.

We have a custom attribute named as Application Manager type contributor list

We have list of all application in File Against(Categories). We have more than 50 application

As of now user is manually selecting Application Manager from the list based on File Against Value.

Lets say User is manually searching for User Mr. AAA as Apllication Manager for Application ABC(File Against value).

Please can any one help me how to automate this. Application Manager Mr AAA should automatically selected if I am selecting application as ABC.
