Inserting links in Rich text through OSLC API

Samanwita Majumdar (5033940) | asked Oct 06 '12, 9:19 p.m.
I am able to insert simple links through XHTML in the primary text of RRC through OSLC but when it comes to a complex url involving special characters the post fails.

e.g. It worked for http://gbsp0211.bcsdc.lexington.ibm.com:9080/ram/home.faces
but failed for http://gbsp0211.bcsdc.lexington.ibm.com:9080/ram/_rlvid.jsp.faces?_rap=!assetDetails&_rvip=/home.jsp&guid={9755E4AF-E6BB-3C93-A7C8-72F39EFFD9F3}&v=1.0&submission=false

there is an error in post is there any way I need to tweak the url to post it correctly at the same time also make the link work when clicked.

Thanks,
Samanwita

Hi,

If the URL has special characters it must be encoded. After encoding the sample you provided it works fine.

I used : http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/dencoder/
