DSD Error invalid directory blocks parameter directory blocks must be equal to 0 or empty

Frank Myers (292023) | asked Sep 27 '12, 10:15 a.m.
Hi,

I used zimport to load PDS source into RTC. Zimport created DSD entries for each PDSwhich appear to be incorrect.

The DSD entries show Directory Blocks of zero (which is incorrect for a PDSE). So I tried to change the value to "1", and the changed DSD now shows the error "invalid directory blocks parameter directory blocks must be equal to 0 or empty".

Why is it insisting on no directory blocks for a PDSE?

Frank

Hi Frank,

I suspect you're hitting a known bug -- see 235567: Block size validation is incorrect in z/OS data set definition creation.

No John, This is not the same problem. The record link points to a problem with blocksize. This problem is with the number of directory blocks. Not their size.

The new DSD dialog is broken.
