RTC linkage into Notes Calendar and vacation planner

Susan Hanson (1.6k2201194) | asked Sep 26 '12, 3:38 a.m.
Within RTC, individuals can define their work environment (how many hours per day they work with quitting time) as well as scheduled absences (vacations, for example).  We also define our scheduled ours in Lotus Notes calendar preferences, and use a Lotus Notes vacation planner for our vacation schedules.

I have been asked if there is any way to keep those in sync?  That is, have RTC be able to either use the Notes information for both schedule and absences, or find a way to push that information from Notes into RTC.  Without this, either one does not get updated, or developers must always change 2 places.

JAZZ DEVELOPER
Hi - there is no link to Notes preferences or calendar.  However, that would be a useful function and I will raise an enhancement request for it.

Hi Susan

To manage the absences, we have created a application getting all datas out of our Exchange Server and creating a CSV file

On the other hand we have a small Java application using the JAZZ API which use the CSV as input and writes the absences in jts.

The job is integrated ind the Build system from Jazz and so you can schedule the synch as you like
