There is currently a work item open to track the addition of these type filters to "My Work Item Changes". 
See 188140: [My Work Item Changes Viewlet]: Add the ability to filter by "Message at me" & "Approval" events.

In the meantime, you can use the workaround provided by the Jazz Developer Curtis d'Entremont (@curtispd), to achieve the  desired filtering:

  1. Add a My Work Item Changes viewlet
  2. Edit Settings
  3. Add this to the end of the URL: "&category=com.ibm.team.feeds.messagesAtMe"
  4. Save

You should now see the viewlet contents filtered down to just messages @Me.
