There is currently a work item open to track the addition of these type filters to "My Work Item Changes".
See 188140: [My Work Item Changes Viewlet]: Add the ability to filter by "Message at me" & "Approval" events.
In the meantime, you can use the workaround provided by the Jazz Developer Curtis d'Entremont (@curtispd), to achieve the desired filtering:
You should now see the viewlet contents filtered down to just messages @Me.
