Maximizing DOORS License Usage

Bryan Smith (1111) | asked Sep 07 '12, 11:28 a.m.
I am with Rational business partner 321 Gang.

We have a client who has asked us to help them maximize the use of their 32 DOORS licenses by automatically logging people out of DOORS after a period of inactivity. We understand that this functionality is not available natively in DOORS, but would like to learn about other strategies for helping them achieve a similar result.

Note: we know that we can automatically kick EVERYBODY out (for a backup for example), but we're looking for something specific to individual DOORS users who are consuming a license but not using it.

Thanks for your help.

PS- why isn't there a 'DOORS' choice in the product list?

I'll address the "easy" question and leave the harder one for someone else.

The DOORS 9 community gathers on developerWorks, for example here:

FYI there are multiple DOORS news groups there.

This is looking like a question for the current DOORS 9 functionality. Please contact Customer Support and raise a PMR.  Here is a link to the Support Portal to aid in this:
