Red Hat Linux and GTK

Kevin Conway (4368) | asked Aug 17 '12, 10:36 p.m.
Has anyone gotten Requirements Composer to work on Red Hat Linux with the ability to preview and print models in Windows?  I am running into an issue in which RRC runs fine, but users can not preview the models or print them.  They can edit with no issues.

It looks like the RRC Convertor wants to use GTK 2.2 or better, but Red hat does not ship with it.  I've tried compiling a new GTK but immediately ran into more issues with unsatisfied dependencies - glibc and atk were not at the right version.  I don't want to run down that road as a solution.

My options are not entirely palatable - run the convertor.war on Windows or Solaris and point to it from my RHEL box or run RRC on Solaris or Windows.  That won't go over well.  SLES isn't an option either.

There has to be a simple and elegant solution!

  Thanks.
