Problems while uploading test scripts in RQM

I need help on it -

I am using internet explorer 8.

The following issue does not always happen but it is happening more and more regularly now which is severely affecting my productivity. The issue is that when I am busy trying to add steps to a test script:

I add one step with an expected result then when I click to add another step it appears but I cannot edit the square block.

Instead I have to close the script and open it again then add the step again.

So far I have had to repeat the above steps for almost every script step (major producity drain).
