how to Recover / restore Test Case Execution records in RQM of a Project Area

Prasanna Holla (1153) | asked Aug 06 '12, 7:15 a.m.
Instead of deleting a small set of records I deleted all the Execution Records.
Is there a possibility of recovery?

Please help

The latest backup we have is as of yesterday night. But, it includes backup of other project areas which we do not want to restore. Is there a way to restore the data for a project area?

There is currently no way to do this other than restoring from backup.  There is a plan to add this functionality.  See https://jazz.net/jazz02/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/52743 for details.  It may be good you you to add a +1 comment to this work item so that it's priority is increased.

We used rqm copy utility which could help to an extent. but, the options are very limited and restricting the users not to delete is quite difficult.

In RQM 4.0 there is a team level permission on the archiving of many of the resources.  It may be worth while to remove this permission from your average users.
