Is there a way to shorten the length of the way an attribute displays?

The short string in the Details Section is a little too big for what we need.

We currently don't allow for adjusting these lengths, however there is an open enhancement work item on the topic here:  Ability to control size and/or location of presentations in layout slots (176173)
