RQM 4: can I delete test plan environments to simplify platform coverage?

Randall Siebert (1155) | asked Jul 17 '12, 6:02 p.m.

When I begin using RQM 4 later this year I will be testing embedded software, not PC software. There will be no OS variations, no browsers, etc. But we will have different hardware configurations.

I would like to make use of the platform coverage / test environment capabilities that RQM offers but the standard values that are provided have no meaning in our product.

Can we delete the existing values and create our own?

Thanks in advance,

Randy

Yes, you definitely can.  See Test Plan Environment Types in the InfoCenter

Hi Randy,
Essentially you don't delete it but hide it. In case you want to restore any of the platform coverage later, you can use a checkbox "Show hidden lab resource attributes and type" to view deleted attributes and can restore back.
