How can I export a Project Template in Rational Requirements Management

Simon Mayell (2677) | asked Jul 16 '12, 6:44 a.m.
We currently have two CLM instances of 3.0.1.3 on separate servers. I am trying to export a RM Project Template from one server to the other. I want to be able to select the same customised template when deploying a new Project Area. Any ideas on how to get the customised Template across onto the other server?

JAZZ DEVELOPER
In RRC V4 we have added the ability to export/import Project Templates:

https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-requirements-composer/releases/4.0?p=news#proj

There are various privileges needed to perform this action
  1. JazzAdmin Repository permissions
  2. An RRC Analyst License
  3. and to have an administrator role on the project

See this V4 help topic for more information:  http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.rational.rrm.help.doc%2Ftopics%2Ft_manage_project_templates.html

Note: There used to be a technote on how to do this with V3.0.1.x but this has been removed due to further problems it caused.
