CLM: performance impact of using Windows LDAP and Linux LDAP

Frank Ning (50025119133) | asked Jul 13 '12, 9:59 a.m.
Hello,

Did any have any experiences regarding the performance impact (comparison) on CLM when using LDAP in the following ways? (assuming the CLM is deployed on Linux)

1) Windows Active Directory
2) LDAP coming from Linux OS like RHEL or SLES
3) IBM LDAP on Windows
4) IBM LDAP on Linux

If you could provide some tip or advice regarding which in the above is the best/better choice to avoid performance impact, that will be great!

Thanks and Regards

Frank

I suspect you need to look for comparisons of LDAP performance. CLM is not coded for specific LDAP's as far as I know - so the CLM itself should not perform differently with different LDAPs but rather depend on the underlying performance of the LDAP.
