I am trying to add a custom attribute in RRC and want to make it read only, what should be the approach?

I am creating a custom attribute and adding the data type as String and giving a default value. But it comes in a text box and editable format our requirement is to have it as a fixed text (Like the Created By field is a fixed text).

What is the process of achieving this?

Also in a text field how do I make the field read only?

Thanks,
Samanwita

In RRC V4, if you use Team Areas, under the Manage the Project Area administration page, for the Team Configuration tab, you can set the roles so that you can create, delete and modify "an artifact of a specific type", including custom artifact types.

This write access control is only at the level of artifact type and does not go to the level of individual artifact type attributes.

If you need this level of access control I would suggest raising an enhancement request.
