Ask a question

Given a changeset, what baseline(s) include it?

We recently switched from CMVC to Jazz Source Control, and here's a question that comes up very frequently. Given a changeset that someone delivered, they want to check which baseline(s) picked up that changeset? (or put in CMVC terms: given a track, which level did that track get integrated to?)

I haven't really been able to figure this out. The work item does have a link to all the changesets, but the changesets nor the work-item have any indication of the baseline that picked up the fix.

Any ideas?

You can use the "Locate Change Set" action (available from a right click on change sets) to find where the change set has flowed.

If you'd like something a little more formal, you can generate a change log by comparing baselines and then using the twistie in the view's top right corner. That will provide you with a textual listing of all of the changes between the two baselines in a format of your preference.
