Combo's are truncated using IE8 only

I have places in my Project Area where my enumerations
contain very long text, like timelines with name like:
MyLooooooooooooooogTimmmmmmmmmmmmLinnnnnnnnnnnne
When using IE8 to display such information, I found that the combo truncate the enum values.
However, it works fine with IE9 and Firefox.
Is this a bug?

JAZZ DEVELOPER
This is a IE8 limitation that trucates combo's that was documented on
jazz.net with work item # 156592
https://jazz.net/jazz/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/156592

There is no known workaround except to use IE9 or Firefox.
