How to create dashboard which reflects data about defects

Roopa Shivakumar (111) | asked May 15 '12, 12:47 p.m.
This is a requriement for an Agile project where the defect traige needs to be monitored and work towards closure of defects.

A dashbaord in RTC of that team would really be helpful which would display the total defects open filed against a particular team. The dashboard would show the updated data as and when defects are raised and also show in tabs ,the crticval defects, normal defects, and old defects still not closed.

How can this be acheived? The query can be created ,but each time one needs to run this query,Also if this data neds ot be seen by others they have to again create query or get the link.

So if this data would be available in dashboard and provide access to team members then this would really be helpful.

How can the query results be populated into the dashboard in RTC?,Is there a simple way to do this

This should be reasonably easy -- we do it all the time (assuming I understand your question).

If you look through the Work Items widgets, there is a "Work Items" widget that can be configured to show the results of a query, a "Work Item Queries" widget that can provide a short-cut list to frequently used queries, and a "Work Item Statistics" widget that can provide a variety of graphical representations.

Assuming you have logged into jazz.net, you should be able to look at any of the team dashboards we use to track stuff just like this to get additional ideas.
