Delivery permission via approval
Hello,
I have setup precondition for user when they try to deliver the code it asks for approval and its working fine.
The question i have is the devl when they create the task
1. they are not able to add the approver
2. The devl needs to communicate with approver for approval and the approver himself has to add his name and approve the task
is it possible that devl can add the approvers name and the approver get notified via email that he needs to approve the task
Thanks
Sagar

That's the way it normally works. I'm not sure why it isn't working for
you.
If you are using the Eclipse client, what does the Team Advisor say when
the developer is unable to save the work item with the approver? In
particular, what does it say when you click the "Why did this happen?"
link? That should tell you which permission or precondition is failing.
If you are only using the web client, the error message is less
detailed, but it might give you some clues about why the work item save
is failing. If not, I would look in the permissions under Work Items >
Save Work Item > Modify the Work Item for anything related to approvals.
