The origin is the source of the requirement. It can be helpful to know where the requirement came from (1) to better interpret it; and (2) to know who to go to if you need more information.

If your requirements process won't benefit from this field, change your requirement type to remove it. It's best to have the minimum number of attributes necessary to support your process.
