Using RTC to build across tiers

The following was posted to my blog. I'm re-posting here to share the question and solicit additional feedback from others:

This is Kelvin .. I am working for a bank and want to know more about how RTCz and ANTz can help me to build app across ties .. i.e. certain portlet app may depend certain message broker flow and certain CICS app at the back is it possible to use RTC and have one click build across three ties ?

My response:
It is possible to build across several tiers with RTC. You would use either an Ant EE build or a dependency build for building your mainframe artifacts, and likely one of the JBE builds for any components you want to build off host. While it is possible to trigger all of these individual builds from an additional RTC build, you likely would want to use Build Forge to coordinate these builds.

HI:

You tell exactly what I want.

How could we push this furher. We tried to talk to the local Rational people but for this kind of creative idea could we engage directly with rational lab ?

Pls see if you can point us to the right contact to get the ball rolling.

Once again many thanks for your team's help and support.

@kelvinksau, thank you for the endorsement. With the popularity of the Jazz solutions, we are not able to provide a "personal" developer for each of our customers. All of us in the development lab are intensely focused on our next release, CLM 2012. However, we DO want to keep our customers happy and well informed. I am part of the Jazz Jumpstart team, a select group of people out of the development lab that deal with issues like this all of the time. Have your local Rational team open up a request with my team, and if we are able to help you, we will.
