Additions to existing Eclipse failed

I'm using "Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers" (v3.6.1, win32) that downloaded from eclise.org.
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

The eclipse is clean and pristine, no plugins added.
It's running Windows XP SP3 (JP) on VMware Player, just after OS clean install, and adding JDK 1.6.24 (latest).

I tried to add RTC 3.0 to this eclipse.
But the warning is displayed. Some features are not enough.

What kind packages are usually required? Is this a major issue?

Hi

It does look like you are missing some plugins, or perhaps have the wrong versions of plugins. How did you install RTC - using the Installation Manager (IM) or another way? IM should install the plugins required if your Eclipse does not have the correct plugins.

Hi!
Hmm, Glad to hear it. ;D

Eclipse was downloaded from the official site. It's Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers" from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/. Nothing untouched. Off cause I'm using the Installation Manager (IM). Have a method for the others?

WTP (for J2EE perspective and using tomcat) was already installed. In addition RTC to the official Eclipse, Is there a plug-in assumptions? The screen displays EMF is required. What I need to install them manually or need a lot of other plug-ins? Can I solve all problems with installing something one?

Adding RTC to an existing Eclipse, I saw this problem. I am concerned that the existing Eclipse wonder if it affects a variety of conditions. :(

Or, maybe,,, I need to Eclipse Software Update??

Hi

So when you used the Installation Manager - did that report any errors when it installed?

You can also try and use the P2 install of RTC - also available from the downloads page.

You may also want to try installing the EMF plugin and starting again.

Last thing to check is your Java version - the system requirementsa are listed here:

http://jazz.net/library/article/496

and the JVM requirements are:

Java Runtime Environment

* IBM Java SDK 6.0 SR6+
* IBM Java SDK 5.0 SR11+
* Sun Java JRE 1.6 Update 17+
* Sun Java JRE 1.5 Update 16+

My apologies, I can't read the error messages on your original post.

It's good to know.

EMF is already included in WTP.
I tried to update these plug-ins.
However, the situation has not changed.

The Installation Manager has installed with no errors.

The java version is...
java version "1.6.0_24"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_24-b07)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 19.1-b02, mixed mode, sharing)

Where is the error log stored? I couldn't find it.

I got the Eclipse plug-in folder from my colleagues.
Then, the problem is resolved.
Visibly, it seems to work.

I thought that Eclipse plug-in dependencies are very complicate.
