RTC Shell

john norris (20734044) | asked Feb 18 '12, 9:54 a.m.
Hi,
few questions on the new RTC Shell for Win7.
Can I use this with RTC 3.x?
I tried installing it on a win7 64bit system via installtion manager 1.51.
Error during install of
RTC-Windows-Shell-repo-4.0M7\im\repo\rtc-windows-explorer-offering\offering-repo\native\com.ibm.team.concert.winshell.3rdParty_4.0.0.201201241221.zip' to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\IBMIMShared\tmp\cicdip_jnorris\v\md5\e33acf1f557bf1c43a0210599bd3041d_md5~5bda89ab6fa4d1980b25bc9a5c795bd6'.
Table of contents digests differs from digest of downloaded file.
'md5' digest values do not match: (Actual) vs (Expected).

Has anyone elese had this problem?
Does anyone have a solution?
Regards,
John Norris

Just as info:

I installed it with the WEB installer without any problems on a Win 7 machine where NO Install manager was installed before.

I did have an RTC client on the machine. Will the shell coexist with a client - I saw nothing on the notes to suggest that is not the case.
I will try downloading the zip again - perhaps it was corrupted somehow.

Hi

This does sound like a download problem Or an unzip problem - using something other than the default Windows zip program to extract the files (I use 7zip).

Reply to this forum if neither of the above work.

Redownloading and unzipping (stillusing the windows explorer extract) did the trick - now it installs OK. So must have been have a corruped download.
many thanks for the replies.

Glad it worked in the end. Avoid the Windows extract program if you can, and also remember to unzip in a short directory path (eg: c:\temp) so as to avoid the problem of paths too long.
