Can I add WI status icons to report?

In RTC 2.0 (but 3.0 is coming in about a month to our installation, so that's ok), I'd like to create a custom BIRT workitem report that shows the status icon (rather than the whole status name) for each workitem listed. Is that possible? I can't seem to find it anywhere in the Jazz data sources.

I have not tried this myself but it should be possible to embed the icons in the report design file and hardcode the mapping from status to the corresponding icon.
