Starting large bugzilla & RTC repo to RTC repo migration

Fred Kulack (644) | asked Feb 02 '12, 11:47 a.m.
Hi All,
We're starting a large migration project moving our development processes from
RTC in repository1 for plans, bugzilla for bugs, SVN for source control
to
RTC on new servers in repository2 for plans, defects and source control.

We've been having pretty good luck on the source code migration and are starting now to dig into bugzilla bug migration and work item/plan migration.

I'm wondering who we can engage on the Jazz team to assist in this when and if we hit problems (I have hit a couple so far and have worked through them, but, I'm not sure what to do if we hit a serious problem, other than post here).

We have about 6000 bugzilla bugs and 200 GB worth of attachments.
We have about 2000 work items, tasks, stories, etc.
We have about 17000 test/config/build scripts/source files in many projects.

We put the source and new build engine support and some of the plan info so far in a target RTC server sandbox for test, but we haven't been focusing as much on the bugzilla and RTC repository to repository migration as we should have up to this point.

Any immediate recommendations for contact strategies or creating work items on the jazz.net site (which we haven't done up to this point).

My internal user id is kulack at us.ibm.com

Thanks!

FORUM ADMINISTRATOR / FORUM MODERATOR / JAZZ DEVELOPER
For support on RTC, you have:
- posting questions to the forum (as you have done here)
- contacting Rational Support (on the web at
http://www.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/Overview/Software/Rational/Rational_Team_Concert
)
- submitting jazz.net work items (for bugs, or requests for enhancements)

Cheers,
Geoff
