Best practice of RTC with PLSQL codes

Canberk Akduygu (99237371) | asked Feb 02 '12, 3:11 a.m.
Hi,

One of my customer would like to use RTC to keep its PLSQL procedures also some batch files in RTC component. They don't want to deal with Clearcase. Is there any one who tried to use RTC with PLSQL codes? If so which way did you follow to keep and version them?

Kind regards

Hi,

batches/shell scripts are no problem.

I have no experience with PLSQL. If it is typically stored and governed in the database it would be hard to version. This has nothing to do with RTC vs. CC, CC has the same issue. If it can be written as text and deployed using some text scripts hat would be version-able. I have heard of this kind of approach to version data using import/export that is typically stored in an applications also in the context of database development.
