Rhapsody importer not available after install (3.0.1)
I've tried to install RDM twice on a Windows x64 server and both times:
- The Sample Project is empty - no model - The Manual Rhapsody Importer is not available I checked licenses and permissions and all seemed ok. Anyone suggest what's gone wrong? thanks, steve |

Hi Steve,
RDM 3.0.1 server setup is not installing Rhapsody model in Sample Project area that is why you find it empty. Rhapsody manual import is available through the web client Import page. It allows uploading zipped Rhapsody models. If you'd like to use Rhapsody Import Engine or Simulink manual importer, you need to install it separately (it is supplied as part of RDM Launch Pad setup) Hope this clarify things, Regards, Itai I've tried to install RDM twice on a Windows... |
Hi Itai,
Thanks .. that covers the sample model. Regarding the importer, the manual input via the web client is not visible. I checked the license and admin settings and could find no reason why it wasn't showing up. We make a clean install (second time) and still the same issue. What would cause the "import" not to be available on the web client? Thanks! Hi Steve, I've tried to install RDM twice on a Windows... |
Hi Steve,
If you don't see menu items it means RDM is not installed properly. Please try these two options: 1. Re-install RDM and make sure both Design Management Server and Rhapsody Design Manager Server Extension are selected 2. Start RDM server and when it is ready type the following command in your internet browser: https://<server_url>/dm/provision After that stop the server and start it again. If Rhapsody extension was installed it should now become visible. Also, Open DM about dialog (can be accessed via the drop down menu and page's right-top) and check if Rhapsody Design Manager appears there regards, Itai |
Itai,
Thanks , we found that the DM piece hadn't been installed. Running the installer again, then the dm/provision link sorted it out. KR, |
