Advisor on checkin action

Hi,

How can I create an advisor on checkin action ?
I want to verify that the checkin is not to Change-set related to specific WI state.

Thanks.

Yes, I'm sure (:-).

To see the current list of process-enabled operations, see:
https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/CustomPreconditionsTable#operations

Geoff

Hi Geoff,
Are you sure there is no option to hook checkin/discard/suspend
operations?
Maybe there is an option to hook these operation from client side?
I just can't believe that you can't make a participant on
discard/checkin operations.

Thanks,

The idea is that a user's workspace is their personal work area and, as such, process is not enforced on changes the user makes to their workspace. Why do you feel you need process enabled on a user's workspace?

Well, the workspace is developer's personal work area, but, when he check in something into his workspace, he also consume server's CPU, RAM, and disk, that's why we need the process enabled.

The checkin operation is not process-enabled, so you cannot create
either a precondition or follow-up action for it.

Hi
I need hook for discard operation because I need to discard the outputs on discard operation to the source .
Also, I have difficult to create full code review process. My problems: We want to use review workitem approval for code review process: The developer associate WI to his CS, and before delivering the CS he needs to get approval on WI for his CS. The problem is that the CS is still open after the WI approval and the developer can change his code. If I could complete the CS related to specific WI after change state to specific state it will close the Code Review process for me. Also, If I could hook checkin operation, and on every checkin I will check if the CS is associate to WI in specific state and disable the checkin that also can solve my problem.
I understand we can't create checkin advisor, but is it possible to complete change-set ?
Can you advice?

Thanks,
Yehiel

There is some support through advisors for what you are describing but I don;t think they give you everything you are asking for. There is an enhancement request for a "first class" change review. You may want to look them over and add a comment if you don't feel your case is covered by the description or previous comments. Here are links to the request:

There is also a plan item for this:
