ISPF Cleint and RTC User ID length problem

I am trying to use ISPF client to connect to RTC Server which is running on AIX.

The user id I have on RTC Server is more than 8 characters but the repository connection panel on ISPF client doesn't let me enter user id which is more than 8 characters.

Any idea what should I do now ?

What version of the ISPF client are you using?  That field should be expandable -- with your cursor on the field, hit F4, and it should bring up a new window with a longer field.  Enter your value there, then hit F3 to return to the connections panel.

I have the same problem. It looks like the panel developer assumed that an MVS userid (which is always 8 characters) would be used.
