Can't expand team members in Developer's Taskboard view
In Eclipse Helios, Plan view, Developer's Taskboard, if I Expand All (+) I can see everything fine, but if I Collapse All (-) and then expand individual team members, I get blank lines:
2.0.0.2 ifix 5 & 7a Helios 32 & 64 bit (does not happen with Ganymede or Galileo). Is there a setting I can tweak to fix this? |

Hi Mike,
this is probably an issue with Helios. I am not sure if we officially support Helios with RTC 2.0.0.2 the 2.0.0.2 used to be 3.4/3.5. |
Both Helios and Indigo. This should be simple enough to fix. I'm wondering if there is a setting change that will avoid it?
I have three teams on Helios right now working around the clock. They don't have any time for distraction let alone downgrading eclipse and risking problems with their other tools in doing so. So I have to get Helios working. I realize I have posted previously that we can't upgrade to RTC 3.x because we are stuck on Ganymede because of Tibco tools. Different teams, same project. |

As per the release notes
https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-team-concert/releases/2.0.0.2iFix7a?p=gettingStarted mentions Eclipse 3.6 following the release notes https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-team-concert/releases/2.0.0.2iFix7a?p=releaseNotes to http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=3488&uid=swg27015704 shows that Eclipse 3.6 is not supported. Since there are most likely several newer packages in 3.6and it has not been tested (to be able to support it), I assume there is a problem. It is most likely not some easy switch to fix it. |
That means RTC 2.x only runs on two versions of eclipse. That's a narrow platform considering there are many other dev tools in use with many other requirements of their own. We have two groups that need Helios and everyone else that needs Ganymede because of requirements of other tools. The foundation (jazz) should have the widest platform. I hope the answer isn't that we're SOL. We've been using Helios. We just have that one problem with the Dev Taskboard. Of course that's the main view we use for managing work items, so it's important that it works.

You could use the web UI you can also create a work item. I can't fix this in a discussion. Obviously you have other tools that also support only a narrow area of versions, otherwise you could upgrade to 3.x.

I can't fix this in a discussion. Obviously you have other tools that also support only a narrow area of versions, otherwise you could upgrade to 3.x. I am aware that you can't fix this in a discussion. I am looking for RTC settings tweaks, XML to add to the process configuration source, or eclipse settings. I'm looking for a workaround. Yes, other tools are restricted as well, but those other tools are not the foundation like Jazz is. Though I've been quite vocal about getting them to upgrade their eclipse support so we can move to RTC 3.x. :) Having said that, there are instructions at one of your links for installing in a 3.6 environment, so even though the system requirements state 3.4 or 3.5, it appears 3.6 support has been added as of ifix7a. Since Helios is now officially supported, I will file a defect for this issue. I'm still hoping for a workaround, though, since a fix might not be available for months. |

Hi Mike,
good luck. I hope they can come up with something. I am out of options here. |
Posted as defect # 185420:
https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=185420 |
This was marked as fixed in ifix 8 but it in fact is not fixed. I posted an attachment to the above work item showing the build number to prove it has not been fixed.
