Support for Agile Cumulative Flow

Ira Weinstein (6143) | asked Oct 19 '11, 2:19 p.m.
Would like to know if RTC supports Agile Cumulative Flow diagrams. Our agile coach is looking to show the cumulative flow for the following states: Backlog, Approved, Deployed.

Here is one reference on Cumulative Flow: http://leadinganswers.typepad.com/leading_answers/2006/09/creating_and_in.html

I have forwarded this on to our developers to respond -- I'm not aware of this capability. Perhaps they know more?

Certainly, you could create this type of report in RRDI or Insight. Or, using work item query exports, move this information to Excel for a manual report.

From a reporting point of view, we do have a Cumulative Value Flow, which is an area chart separated into Open, In Progress, and Closed work items. (In past releases, a variant of this report was called Open vs Closed Work Items). If Open, In Progress and Closed aren't the states that you're looking for (actually these are process-independent state groups) you could tailor the report using BIRT to group the states as appropriate for your process.
