LinksExplorer: Link between documents
If there are documents which have to be linked into one document or task this is not displayed in the "Links Explorer" used in JAZZ.
As example we define the following dependencies between artifacts. There are two artifacts A and B linked to artifact C. In the link explorer this is displayed by showing an arrow from A to a C' and from B to a C''. The expected visualization is that artifacts A and B are linked to C by arrows pointing from A and B to a single C. |

If there are documents which have to be linked into one document or I believe this is a known issue. Take a look at task 18565. I think this could end up being fixed via enhancement 25898. Steve |
Yep, you are right sound similar. Hope that the fix via enhancement 25898 will improve the visualization.

Steve I read through task 25898 now round about ten time to be sure that I got the point of the enhancement request. It seams to me that this is related to possible ways of displaying dependencies as there is mentioned Spring, Radial and Tree. The improvement we are after is the way how merge and split of artifacts is shown. In the example below the dots are only used to locate the rest in the right place. Background is that spaces will be ignored. Example on how merge is displayed today: A -> C B -> C Example on how we think merge should be displayed: A \ .....> C B / For the split of artifacts it works already in the expected way as this is displayed like: ..../ B A ....\ C Markus |
