Updating existing work item templates - how to?
Hi
Apologies, probably a noddy question, but cannot find it in the docs or in the forum.
We have a work item template structure of an Epic with a child task. So when we select Create from work item template and select this it generates both work items.
How do you go about updating it. e.g. if we want to update the description fields or add another child task?
Any advice, gratefully received.
Thanks, Nigel.

One answer
You would instantiate the work item template as a collection of work
items, make your edits to those work items, and create a new template
from the modified work items. When I have work item templates, I
usually keep around an instantiation of that template, and do all my
editing on that instantiation (avoids the need to create a new set of
work items every time you want to modify the template).

Geoff
