How does the auto assist (ctrl+space) works?
When I write a couple of letters in the Description field in a task within the eclipse client and then press (ctrl + space). I get some suggestions, I can swap between users, tasks, History etc. every time i press (ctrl + space). My question is how this works, because I get different suggestions from time to time. Is this a bug or can I configure how this works?

Auto-assist on user names looks at the user names that are "associated"
with the work item (e.g. users that are subscribers, owner, creator) of the work item. Cheers, Geoff On 9/16/2011 3:38 PM, emwjoto wrote: When I write a couple of letters in the Description field in a task |
Ok, thanks for your response. But I still don't understand. In my example in a task I've 1 creator, another owner and myself as subscriber. When I type @ followed by (ctr+space) I get a result of 20 users without something in common what I see.

I believe that being on the "subscribes" list is one of the reasons a
user appears on this Description/Comment user-name completion list ... I haven't experimented to see what are the other reasons (and yes, there certainly are other reasons, since this list is usually much longer than the subscribes list). Perhaps someone on this forum who is familiar with that completion code can provide a definitive answer? Cheers, Geoff On 9/19/2011 6:23 AM, emwjoto wrote: Ok, thanks for your response.
