No provider configured for task tracking
Hi. I have RQM 3.0.1 installed and configured. When I try to create a work item, I get the message "No provider configured for task tracking".
I've scoured the online help to no avail. How do I configure a provider for task tracking?
Can I do this with a project area or do I need a lifecycle project?
I tried adding an association to ccm "Uses - Quality Management Tasks" but it wants an artefact container. After reading the online help I'm not sure that's the right solution.
Thanks.

Thanks Ralph,
I used defaults for everything. I've checked the online help and it says in this situation only Scrum, OpenUP and Formal can be selected. Since I'm just using tasks from RQM, it probably doesn't matter.
I've created and associated a project based on Formal. I'll check it out.
Regards, Dave.

Hi Ralph,
Administering > Administering projects > Creating and managing lifecycle projects
I see that if I select template "Quality Professional without Defects or Requirements" the only process I can select is "Tracking". I think this is the one I need.

Hi David,
thanks. I did notuse LPA (lifecycle project administration) I created the project area and connected the two. I will have to look at the LPA application. I think you can also create your own LPA project templates and you should be able to connect almost any projects from almost any project templates.
The formal project template provides Project management with Gantt. So maybe that is appropriate for your use. If you don't use planning no harm done, otherwise it is just a different scheduler from the agile one.
Thanks,
Ralph
