Can't create Test Plan PDF in RQM 3.0.1

Ryan Rayner (361715) | asked Aug 05 '11, 4:01 p.m.
We need to store PDFs of test plans for audit purposes and have just moved to RQM version 3.0.1. However, when you click the PDF button on the test plan screen, all you get are options to print and not to open a PDF of the test plan. Did IBM remove this functionality for version 3 or might we have this configured wrong?

In RQM 3.0.1, print jobs (e.g. PDF generation) are managed by the Print Job Queue (see http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v3r0m1/topic/com.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc/topics/t_manage_print_queue.html). From the Print Job Queue, you can save each print job (see http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v3r0m1/topic/com.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc/topics/t_exporting_test_assets.html).

Right, as the documentation says, you need to find the PDF you want in the Print Queue and click on it to download it. Make sure it has finished printing. You may need to refresh the queue to update the status.
