Creating new users w/ Ldap

Christopher Snyder (811111) | asked Aug 03 '11, 5:43 p.m.
Trying to figure out how to create a new user in Build Forge with LDAP. Build Forge asks for a password, which I don't know.

However, if the user logs into Build Forge , then the Build Forge account is automatically created. I then need to assign the user to the correct access groups.

With Ldap enabled, must the user log into Build Forge first, or can an admin create the account w/o knowing the users ldap password?

thanks all ...

Hi,

I'm not aware of a way to create LDAP users without them logging in. There is a way to map Build Forge access groups to LDAP groups that might be an option if the assignment of access groups once the user has logged in becomes too tedious.
