Do you change the state name of work items in scrum template
My organization selects to use scrum template as our process model. But end users don't like the state name, i.e. New, InProgress for Defect. Our current CQ use Submitted, Analyzing, Opened, etc. But somebody says that Scrum is industry standard, we should follow it. My question is, in your practics of RTC, do you change state name of work items? or just keep using them as is?

The role names are fairly standard, but you should feel free to
customize the state names and resolution codes (there's no real industry standard for those, and in particular, some of the out-of-the-box resolution codes like "works-for-me" were inherited from the informal open-source phrasing which is often inappropriate for a more formal setting). One thing to beware of though: If you do not have a company wide standard, and each group has its own custom state names, I'd suggest using this as an opportunity to regularize your state names so they are consistent across your organization ... in which case sticking with the out-of-the-box names is probably the easiest way to avoid a long discussion about what are the "best" names.
