Unable to open plan with many work items

Hi Everyone,

When we create a plan that loads many work items (2000+) with "Always load all execution items" checked; the plan is not loaded in eclipse and web and throws an error. When I looked at some of jazz.net links, I see the below defect filed against build results Defect 250557 and the fix is available from 4.0.3.

Now my question is, will this fix be applicable for the error caused in Plans as well ? 
The error msg shown in Web UI is as follows -

There are a couple of things you may want to clarify: what version of RTC are you running and what database(SQL Server or Oracle or DB2) you are using, up to how many workitems in the plan you would have no problem to open it and so on.

The defect you reference to is SQL Server related problem and if you hit the same limitation, you may see similar error trace like:
Caused by:
com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The incoming tabular data stream (TDS) remote procedure call (RPC) protocol stream is incorrect. Too many parameters were provided in this RPC request. The maximum is 2100.

then the same limit could apply here although we cannot say whether the build related in v403 will also work for plan view or not. Most likely not.(need separate problem determination by support team)

If Oracle DB is used, it is more likely related to this defect:

Which is addressed in v401, this is the one for plan view.

Thanks for you reply. 

I think the link you posted on defect 233995 is likely the same problem we are facing. We are currently using RTC v4.0.0.1 on Oracle DB.
